“Something tall, dark, and handsome would be nice” she replied when her friend asked her who should fill the last spot on their Thursday evening volleyball team.   He smiled and laughed, a little ripple of an idea passing across his face; “I’ll see what I can do!”.  A few weeks later, she walked up to the group standing around on the court and saw a close-cropped head bobbing slightly above the rest that she couldn’t place.  The group parted as she approached.  The stranger flashed her a dazzling smile – endearing and genuine.  ”Hi, I’m Greg.  You must be Abby.”  She gulped.  Tall, dark, and handsome he was indeed.

Abby and Greg are planning a sweet hometown wedding for next week.  Abby’s Dad will marry them in a tiny country church, and their reception will be enjoyed under the stars at her parent’s home.  It’s a quaint and relaxed vision for a couple that spends their lives in downtown Chicago.  But it is that duality that makes this couple so much fun.  Reserved, but deeply expressive.  Quiet, but full of energy inside.  Tall and imposing in stature, but reduced to jello in the presence of their dog, Cooper.  I can’t wait to see it all unfold!
