Wedding at Roots Restaurant | Erin & Ryan

Erin & Ryan were married in a lovely intimate ceremony at Roots Restaurant in the riverwest area of Milwaukee.  They gathered close family and friends on the outdoor patio of Roots on what was an unseasonably warm morning in early November.  The whole day was uniquely them – nothing on the traditional list.  A morning wedding at a small foodie restaurant, a brunch reception, just two attendants – both men.  A break in the middle of the day for photos and fun and then an evening cocktail reception at Swig Restaurant in the third ward – no tables and chairs, no formal dances, no sit down dinner – just passed food, signature cocktails and mustaches on a stick. Oh yeah, and plenty of fun.

One more out of the ordinary moment – we stopped at Alterra – for coffee.  Erin and Ryan stood in line and everything.  If you love coffee that much, you have to honor it a bit photographically:

I have to give a shout out to one of my absolute favorite client families: the Henricksons.  This family (four of the six are pictured below) have been so good to me – sending me client after client.  Sometimes I think I could book a whole year on their referrals.  I love these people  - they are some of the nicest, most genuine people you will ever meet, and they are the reason I was at this wedding.  Thanks guys!

Lovely photos as always. I loved all her details and accessories. The pic hugging the grandmother is so sweet, I got teary eyed!
