At Leslie and Tom’s wedding a couple of weeks ago, we were shooting all of  the special little details that made up Tom’s wedding day look when he said he had one more thing.  He opened up his jacket and showed us what was in the heart pocket.

They weren’t there on his wedding day, they’ve been gone for awhile.  But he figured out how to have them with him anyhow.  The minute he showed us, we all started tearing up.  It was so simple, so sweet.  He wanted them with him, and they were, in so many ways.

I should note that the diamonds in Leslie’s engagement and wedding ring were also from these same grandparents’ rings.

They obviously made an impression on Tom at an early age.  From the stories he told, I could tell they were a big part of his life, never missing a moment.  They were there on his wedding day too, not missing a moment, tucked into the heart pocket.
