Indie Wed Milwaukee | m three studio news
I’ve always been against participating in bridal shows. I find them mostly mind-numbing, overwhelming and well, stale. My pals in Chicago have long raved about a show they do down there called Indie Wed. I knew that to be a different sort of wedding show, one which celebrates the unique and caters to artisans. I’ve considered participating a few times, but just never made the leap. But when Indie Wed decided to hop borders and bring their special brand of all things wedding to Milwaukee, I couldn’t resist.

I’m honored to have been selected to participate in the first Milwaukee Indie Wed! Come check it out, Thursday May 10th, at the fabulous Harley Davidson Museum.
Hope to see you there!

Miscellaneous Monday
I hope your Easter weekend was fun. We spread ours out over two Sundays, celebrating with my family last week and Hubby’s family yesterday. Baby Girl was of course, quite the hit in her cute little Easter dress. I consider it a personal victory that she stayed clean in it until 5pm.

Speaking of Baby Girl, she turns three months old this week! It’s hard to believe that much time has passed. But, she is getting so much bigger and really starting to look less “infant” lately. As an added Easter surprise, she rolled over for the first time yesterday. Before we know it she’ll be walking.

Something I’ve been wondering for awhile: When you buy something from Walgreens, like, say, Shampoo, why does it have a sticker on it saying it’s only for sale at Walgreens and to call this number if you bought it elsewhere? Do people steal the trucks headed for Walgreens or something?

Hubby and I went to Opening Day on Friday. Good times, as always. We left Baby Girl at home with Grandma, as it just seemed too crazy for such a wee one. But, she donned her Brewer’s gear anyway.

I do wish the Brewers had been able to win their home opener, it was sad to loose to the Cardinals again. As is customary, we checked out all the new things at the ballpark. We’ve decided the starting lineup sign at the entrance is pretty cool, but the “state fair” inspired foods were just okay. Hubby did have some “food network” buffalo chicken mac and cheese though that was certainly far superior to most stadium options.

Wedding Season starts in two weeks with a Barn wedding in Appleton! Woot!!

I’m so not a golf fan, but the finish to the Masters yesterday was pretty awesome.

Both “The Big C” and “Nurse Jackie” started new seasons yesterday – excited to return to both shows on my DVR.

Still waiting for Jimmy Buffet to announce his Wisconsin dates this year. I haven’t been to a concert since starting m three studio – there’s always been a conflict with a wedding. It would be a nice 5 year anniversary present for him to choose a date I’m miraculously free!

Have a great week!

Friday Funday! with Hubby
It’s been a few weeks since my last Friday Funday, so I thought I would hi-jack the blog and take another stab at it! Truth be told, today it’s actually Friday Funday! with Hubby & Baby Sloane! In the words of Jason Aldean, “Lets get this thing Started!”
-Last year, myself and several co-workers started a Relay For Life Team to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We are doing it again this year and as our main way to raise money we are having our 2nd Annual Community Cookout and Fireworks Shoot to Fight Cancer on June 9th! Last year we had the Milwaukee Brewer’s Famous Racing Sausages attend. This year we have something even bigger planned! Make sure and LIKE Phantom Fireworks of Racine on Facebook so you don’t miss the exciting details!
-Is it wrong that our almost three-month old is more fashionable than me? Sloane is a fashion Rockstar. Thanks in big part to Molly’s great fashion sense, our baby girl has an outfit for every occasion. She just started growing out of some of her newborn stuff and into a whole new wardrobe, including an awesome pink track jacket and a Brewers sweat-shirt. She even has Mickey Mouse ears form one of Molly’s engagement shoots at DisneyWorld! Here is one of my favorite pictures of Sloane, even though Molly put it up first!
-It’s almost Opening Day! I can’t wait for baseball. It seems like just a couple of weeks ago the football season was ending. I’m excited about the Brewers this year just like any year, but I’m especially interested in seeing how they transition from being led by Prince Fielder to being led by others. Hopefully it leads to another playoff run just like last year!
-Opening Day Note…….a reminder to everyone not to be the Two Fisted Slopper! Remember him? An animated character that reminded fans to be respectful of others. Please try and remember just because it’s Opening Day doesn’t mean it gives you license to get sloppy drunk and ruin the day for others! In the words of Anchorman star Ron Burgundy “Keep it Classy Milwaukee!”
-Speaking of Anchorman, did you hear they are making an Anchorman 2? Will Ferrell appeared as the Legendary “Ron Burgundy” on “Conan” to make the announcement. Within 3 hours of the announcement @ronburgundy had 3k followers, and after 36 hours over 11k followers! That is getting the word out! I’m sure a major reason is the help of @conanobrien and @teamcoco but those numbers are huge for that short of time. Imagine once they actually start promoting it!
-A few weeks ago, I mentioned we were working on adding Pinterest to the blog and as you probably have noticed, we haven’t done it yet. The reason is because we are waiting to learn more information about the possible copyright implications. Pinterest has in its terms that the person pinning and the place where it was pinned from are responsible for copyright details, including potential lawsuits. No one knows for sure how far reaching this is or if it is really even an issue. Some have compared it to Napster and Music and some say a few simple changes by Pinterest and its not an issue at all. Once we learn more and how it effects us, we hope to add Pinterest in the future!
-This weekend we are celebrating Easter with Molly’s family. It will be Sloane’s first Easter and of course she has an outfit already lined up. The part I’m most excited about is the Easter Egg hunt with our nephews Ethan & Eli. It should be an interesting hunt considering they are just under two years and just under six months!
-A good friend of ours, Allen Halas, has this really cool project that he’s working on to create a local television show about local music in Milwaukee. Allen and a partner are Marquette students who used to host a radio show for several years, called Breaking & Entering on Marquette Radio, until they started working on this television project. Visit their indiegogo sight “Live at the Miramar: A Milwaukee Music Television Show” to learn more and find out what they call the “Bon Iver Effect.”
-The Friday Funday! video this week is one from a few years ago but is still a classic! Baby Sloane couldn’t take her eyes off of the screen when this video came on CMT last night. Enjoy the previously mentioned Jason Aldean and his “My Kinda Party” Video!
Make sure and comment on how I did and LIKE below and share with your friends on Facebook, Twitter and the other million social media networks out there! Maybe if I get enough response Molly will trust me to do it again sometime!

Seattle Wedding Photographer | Kristen & Eric | Engaged

“Yes, we have been apart too long. But how are you going to get out here? You are supposed to report to work in a week!”
“I’ll delay my offer for a year, we’ll see what happens.” she insisted.
He sighed, shook his head a bit and held the phone tighter. She was always the more impulsive one. The one ready to leap, jump and run, whenever her heart told her to.
“Eric, I miss you, and I’m tired of chasing each other around the country.” she lobbed at him after his short silence.
“Me too”, he answered, a little too quickly, not wanting her to think he didn’t feel the same. He did. He looked around his sparse apartment. He’d been here a year already and yet it looked like he had just moved in. Yes, the clerkship took up most of his time, but clearly he wasn’t really living here, he was in a holding pattern too.
“Let’s do it!” he blurted out, a smile spreading across his face. ”You’ll move here…..and we’ll see what happens.”

Of course, what happened after Kristen moved to Seattle to be with Eric was a year of finally being together, a year where she gave up that offer in Chicago, where he found another clerkship, a year where hey fell deeper in love with each other, and in love with their new adopted city of Seattle as well. An engagement ring, a new home, an adorable puppy, they all naturally grew out of that one decision to wait, and see what happens.

Kristen and Eric were the consummate tour guides, showing me all of their favorite Seattle spots for their engagement session. It was my first time seeing the city, and it might have just been their infectious affection for it, but I fell for it a bit too. The light is incredible, the sights are numerous and there is always a sweet little pocket just around the corner. A Seattle wedding would have been a joy for these two, but they’ve decided to return to their Wisconsin roots instead for a morning affair that will showcase all their favorites and show off their hometown to their friends collected from near and far.

Love seeing pics of your baby girl and looking forward to wedding season and your posts.
