County Fair came to a close yesterday.  It was a long, very hot week – I have to admit.  But super fun, as always.  The experience was a bit of a departure for us this year, as Hubby didn’t participate in the Demolition Derby like years past.  It was odd not having that to worry about, but also really freeing.  The heat put a damper on devouring too much fair food, which, let’s be honest, is probably a good thing.

The heat also meant that I left the camera at home.  Sorry, no pictures this year from county fair.  Trust me when I say Ethan was cute, everyone had smiles on their faces, and there were lots of rides, friends and laughter.

Saturday was a gorgeous wedding for Christa & Jason at Whistling Straits and The American Club.  Just beautiful.  But again, oh so hot. It was so warm that we didn’t really get to explore the grounds of Whistling Straits properly as the sun and heat just wore everyone out. But we had fabulous photos anyway.  Smart thinking by Christa with easy, breezy dresses for her and the girls!  And there is a reason why Destination Kohler hosts some of the best weddings around – just impeccable service at every turn, friendly staff, incredible venues and food….I could go on and on.

Hubby and I also had the opportunity to go to the Dierks Bentley concert at the Washington County Fair.  We love Dierks, and have seen him many times.  This concert was a bit jumbled in the playlist order, and ended oddly.  I had gone into the concert thinking that Dierks is a bit of a big name for a county fair (no matter the price they paid), but I think he needs some help in the management of a stage show to put him at the next level.  He’s great in concert, it just lacks that extra entertainment factor where you feel like you’ve been taken on a great ride. Of course, we were disappointed he didn’t sing “our song”, but he rarely does, so that was a long-shot anyway.

How is it August already?!?  So much summer living left to do!

Brewer’s Game for us tonight – I can’t wait!

For those who are wondering – I haven’t forgotten about The Secret Project.  It keeps me awake at night.  I just can’t even list for you the number of things – personal life stuff, business stuff, house stuff, other business stuff – that somehow continues to jump in front of launching that facet of m three studio.  It frustrates me to no end.  I’m working on it – when I can, and I hope you’ll see something soon.  I can promise another clue in the next week or so though…. so stay tuned to the blog!

Well, I’ve got quite a bit of work to catch up on after all this county and state fair time I’ve had lately….Have a great week!
