She looked around the baggage claim area one more time. Deep down, she was hoping the text she had gotten while deboarding was wrong, and that he had, in fact, waited for her before heading home. It wasn’t often that their flights matched up after all. Seeing Jason nowhere, she sighed and hailed a cab. She sat in the back seat stewing and planning her speech for when she arrived at the house. He only had to wait 20 minutes for her to land, why had he been so impatient? She flung the front door open and let her bags fall to the floor with a loud thud, so he would know she had arrived. “Jason!” she called, trying to control her annoyance. “In here, Babe!” he replied, all too cheerily, from the living room. She came around the corner, running thru the bullet points of her argument in her head, and then it all faded away. There he stood, ring box in hand, and that wonderful devilish grin on his face. “Sorry, I had to get home before you so I could be ready.” he sheepishly offered.
