It’s Alive!

Finally, fin-a-ly, the new blog is here!  I know it’s been a tremendous tease to have it down for so long, but I think the wait was worth it.  I wanted the new blog to look like what my brain looks like – well not really.  But I consider my desk to be a pretty good representation of what my thoughts sound like.  And this new blog looks an awful lot like my desk – messy but organized, littered with inspiration and artifacts from different facets of my life, colorful and constantly changing.

If you read my blog via a reader – today is the day to click out and come see all the new shiny goodness!

We’ve moved our blogging platform, but you can still find us in the same spot as always – www.mthreestudioblog.com

It will take awhile for me to manually move all of the old posts over to this new blog, so if you are looking for a previous post, you will have to go to the old blog platform (click the link). Squarespace (the old blog platform) and Wordpress (our new platform) aren’t exactly friends, so there is no easy way to transfer it all that I can find.

If you are reading the blog via a blog reader, you might have the wrong address linked for it – make sure you have it set to www.mthreestudioblog.com  to see new content. (some people were inexplicably linking to the Squarespace specific address)

So….on this new blog we have some fun new features that I’m so excited about!

-You can see the comments for any post right below the post – no more clicking thru to another window!  I’m hoping that this will encourage us all to have more of a dialogue on here, since extra effort won’t be required.

-You can share the blog posts instantly on facebook, twitter or stumbleupon, by clicking on the links at the bottom of each post.  You can also email the post to a friend.

-If you like a post, you’ll find recommendations for similar ones right at the bottom of the post (below the comments).

-The “People you should Know” section – full of all the best vendors for your wedding – is located on the right side.  These people really rock, they are a joy to work with, and you couldn’t be in better hands.  If they don’t fit that criteria, they don’t make the list. Just hover your mouse over each one of them for a second to see what I really think about them. :0)

-You can check out blog posts by their series – just click on “series” at the top, and you’ll be taken to a listing.  So, if you really want to read all of the “Wifey Chronicles” at once, this is the place to go.  (Of course, since we are still migrating posts, this will take a bit to get moved over and be fully functional.)

-You can reach me via the contact form under “contact” above.

-You can jump straight from here to my website portfolio or to the m three studio experience video, also in the navigation bar above.

-My twitter feed is right there on that little post-it note, and you can jump to my facebook page over there too.  Follow or like me on Twitter and Facebook – I’d love to chat with you.

A big THANK YOU goes out to Jeff Jasinowski for designing the fun look of the blog, and to Custom Photography Blogs for programming it all.  They did work I couldn’t even fathom, and I’m so grateful.

Just because it would be cruel to finally post today after a two week hiatus and not put any pictures up, I’ll throw one in of something else that is all new – our nephew Ethan.  I just think this photo is hilarious because Ethan has really big feet for a newborn actually - seriously big feet.  But Katie, my sister, has tiny size 5 feet, and my brother-in-law Jacob is around a size 9.  So keep that in mind when you measure his baby feet against theirs.  How they produced a child with big feet is a mystery to us all (we are guessing my Dad’s genes made an appearance) and so a foot shot was in order at Ethan’s newborn shoot last week.

Just a funny picture to chuckle at today.  There is so much to come here on the blog – we have a real backlog now with the site having been down.  (of course clients have been getting their images regardless – the blog is now behind reality) First up – the stunning, beautiful, amazing, and oh-so pretty wedding of Katie & Chris at the Cuneo Mansion.

nancy and I chatted off-line about this. If anyone else is having this issue, either you have to unsubscribe and the resubscribe to http://www.mthreestudioblog.com, or you have to search for mthree studio and both blogs will come up (the old one and the new one) and choose the new one.
