**This wedding was shot by my uber-talented associate photographer, Melissa**
Technically, I met Allie first. She was an effervescent bridesmaid in one of my favorite weddings of 2011. But when it comes to “Allison and Paul”, I met Paul first. He was the one to call me, helping out his bride who was busy with at a camp for the non-profit she works for. You could hear his love on the phone. What they wanted was simple and true to their lives, and Paul wanted to get most of it arranged for Allie before she got home. Planning a wedding from a thousand miles away (this duo lives in Pittsburgh) is no easy task, but Paul and Allie moved with a precision and sense of direction I haven’t seen before. In a matter of weeks the whole affair was arranged. I learned from watching them that they had a unique relationship style, getting all of the practical matters out of the way first so they could savor the good stuff. Their wedding day at the Iron Horse Hotel was nothing but the good stuff.
